Manama: Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah today participated in the joint ministerial meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council-Canada Strategic Dialogue. The meeting focused on reviewing the relations between the GCC member states and Canada, exploring ways to enhance cooperation in economic and trade fields, and boosting coordination on issues of mutual interest.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the participants engaged in discussions on regional and international developments, exchanging views on current events and their implications for regional security and stability. They emphasized the importance of intensifying international efforts to protect maritime corridors and ensure freedom of international navigation, aiming to safeguard shared interests and promote regional and global stability.

The meeting also addressed concerns over Iranian escalation and attacks targeting several countries in the region, including the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Participants expressed condemnation of these attacks, highlighting their implications for the security and safety of the involved countries and their impact on efforts towards de-escalation and the restoration of security and stability in the region.
