Jeddah: Tennis fans are eagerly awaiting the start of the 2025 Next Gen ATP Finals presented by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), especially after the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) announced the full lineup of players set to compete.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the tournament, to be held at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah from December 17 to 21, is considered the premier event for young players, bringing together the top eight players under the age of 20, based on the PIF ATP Live Race To Jeddah standings throughout the season.

These elite tournaments are being held in parallel with ongoing efforts to improve and expand tennis in the Kingdom, particularly amid continued successes at the grassroots level. In 2025 alone, more than 53,000 children took part in the Tennis for All Program, in partnership with the Saudi Sports for All Federation, while women’s participation increased by 24% in just one year following Riyadh’s hosting of the WTA Finals Riyadh 2024.

At the professional level,
Saudi Arabia now has a record 82 players with international rankings, while the Saudi Tennis Federation organized 77 local tournaments in 2024, an unprecedented figure.
