GACA Launches Foundational Aviation Medicine Course in Cooperation with Weqaya

Riyadh: The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), in cooperation with the Public Health Authority (Weqaya), has announced the launch of a foundational training course in aviation medicine, aimed at enhancing knowledge and professional qualifications in this specialized field in line with internationally recognized standards and best practices.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the course forms part of GACA's ongoing efforts to develop the aviation medicine sector and strengthen aviation safety. It is designed for GACA-authorized physicians, as well as doctors and healthcare practitioners interested in aviation medicine, to contribute to the sustainability of national expertise and enhance aviation safety standards.

GACA stated that the course supports the objectives of the Kingdom's aviation sector strategy and Saudi Vision 2030 by investing in national talent and localizing specialized professional expertise.

According to GACA, registration for the course will open on June 18, 2026, and continue through July 16, 2026. The training program will run from August 2 to August 31, 2026.
