Riyadh: The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) has reported that Saudi Arabia's non-oil exports, including re-exports, rose by 7.4% in December 2025 compared to December 2024. National non-oil exports declined by 8.5%, while re-exports surged by 43.1%.
According to Saudi Press Agency, total merchandise exports increased by 3.0% compared to December 2024, while oil exports grew by 1.0%. The percentage of oil exports in total exports fell from 68.7% in December 2024 to 67.4% in December 2025. Imports rose by 2.4% during the same period, while the trade surplus expanded by 7.1% compared to December of the previous year.
In the fourth quarter of 2025, non-oil exports, including re-exports, rose by 18.6% compared to the same period in 2024. National non-oil exports declined slightly by 1.5%, while re-exports surged by 67.4%. Overall, total merchandise exports increased by 7.9%, and oil exports grew by 3.5%. The percentage of oil exports in total exports fell from 70.4% to 67.5%.
In the fourth quarter of 2025, imports rose by 4.7% compared to the same period in 2024, while the trade surplus expanded by 26.3%.
Regarding trading partners, Japan was the top destination for Saudi merchandise exports in December 2025, accounting for 11.7% of total exports, while China led as the largest import partner at 28.7%. Over the fourth quarter, China ranked first among major export partners, accounting for 13.1% of total exports, and remained the top import partner at 27.2%.
