GCC Secretary-General and Indian Ambassador Deliberate on GCC-India Ministerial Meeting Preparations

Riyadh: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Albudaiwi received Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Shri Vipul in a meeting held in Riyadh. The discussion centered on preparations for the upcoming GCC-India ministerial meeting scheduled for September.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting focused on several topics of mutual interest, emphasizing the relationship between the GCC and India. The dialogue explored ways to enhance these relations to serve shared interests and discussed the progress of negotiations on the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the GCC and India, signed in February 2026.

The officials exchanged views on current regional updates and international developments, underlining the importance of ongoing coordination and consultation on issues of common interest. Their discussions aimed to support security and stability in the region.
