Riyadh: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Albudaiwi received Ambassador of Iraq to Saudi Arabia Safia Taleb Al Souhail at the General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh today. During the meeting, they discussed several topics, most notably Gulf-Iraqi relations, as well as the latest regional and international developments and the exchange of views on them. Albudaiwi underscored the contents of the closing statement issued by the Supreme Council during its 46th session (December 2025), highlighting the GCC's steadfast positions and decisions regarding the Republic of Iraq and its support for ongoing efforts to achieve its security and stability.
