Riyadh: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Albudaiwi received Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Jihad Azour today at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh.
According to Saudi Press Agency, during the meeting, they discussed avenues of cooperation between the GCC and the IMF in several areas, in addition to proposals for organizing joint activities and events between the two sides.
Albudaiwi highlighted the ongoing cooperation between the IMF and GCC countries in supporting the ambitious economic and financial programs witnessed by the GCC states. He emphasized the importance of keeping pace with global economic changes and enhancing the flexibility of GCC economies and their ability to face regional and international challenges.
