Kuwait city: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Albudaiwi affirmed that joint military action among the GCC states receives special attention and care from the GCC leaders, stemming from their deep belief in the bonds of unity that bring their nations together.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Albudaiwi affirmed that ‘this attention also reflects the GCC leaders’ realization of the pivotal role played by the armed forces in protecting the security and stability of GCC states, safeguarding their safety and sovereignty, in addition to elevating these forces’ role to keep pace with the aspirations of the GCC peoples. The GCC leaders underline the significance of continuing this blessed Gulf journey in order to bolster its ability to deal with various challenges and threats, both present and future.’
The GCC secretary-general’s remarks were made during the 22nd session of the Joint Defence Council, held today in the State of Kuwait.
He underscored the importance of joint military coordination, pointing out that the agenda of this meeting includes numerous topics requiring gracious directives, which will contribute to upgrading the GCC states’ endeavors in the fields of joint military action. This aims to ensure continued cooperation and coordination in all aspects of collective security, protecting GCC states, and maintaining their sovereignty and stability, particularly given that the security of the GCC states is an indivisible whole.
