Riyadh, March 05, 2023, SPA – Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, met today in Riyadh with the Director General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), Dr Salim Mohammed Al-Malik.
The GCC Secretary General stressed the importance of enhancing the prospects of cooperation between the GCC and ICESCO by participating in meetings discussing issues that concern the GCC countries in a way that serves joint cultural work and exchanging visits and experiences in the cultural field.
Al-Budaiwi also praised ICESCO’s sincere efforts in encouraging diversity, dialogue, and understanding among different nations within the framework of their contributions to achieving global peace and security, which leads to strengthening the joint Gulf action to meet the goals towards more pan-GCC cooperation and integration, especially the bylaws and regulations of ICESCO.
