General Assembly of Arab States Broadcasting Union Starts, Chaired by Saudi Arabia

Hammamet: The 44th session of the General Assembly of the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) commenced on Wednesday in Hammamet, Tunisia, chaired by Saudi Arabia. ASBU president and Saudi Broadcasting Authority Chief Executive Mohammed Fahad Al-Harthi and ASBU director-general Abdelrahim Suleiman attended the meeting alongside heads of Arab bodies within the union and delegation leaders.

According to Saudi Press Agency, in his opening speech for the two-day session, Al-Harthi emphasized that the meeting presents a key opportunity to unify efforts and enhance cooperation between regional and international media institutions in addressing challenges and achieving common goals that benefit societies.

Participants discussed ASBU’s activities over the past year and deliberated on events and initiatives scheduled for 2025.
