Riyadh: Governor of the General Authority of Awqaf Emad bin Saleh Al Kharashi met with Syria's Minister of Endowments Mohammad Abu Al-Khair Shukri and his accompanying delegation at the authority's headquarters.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting aimed to discuss areas of mutual interest and cooperation, exchange expertise, and learn about Saudi Arabia's experience in regulating and developing the waqf sector and digitizing its services, thereby contributing to the sustainability of endowments and maximizing their economic and social impact.

During the meeting, the General Authority of Awqaf's experience in regulating and developing the waqf sector was reviewed, along with a number of issues of mutual interest.

The meeting also included an exchange of expertise and experiences in various waqf-related fields. The Syrian minister met with the authority's senior officials and a number of specialists, and participated in specialized sessions and workshops that showcased the authority's experience in regulating and developing the waqf sector.
