Riyadh: The General Authority for Foreign Trade, through its Trade Remedies Deputyship, conducted a hearing concerning the ongoing anti-dumping investigation of ductile iron pipes and hollow tubes, ranging from 100 to 1,000 mm in diameter, that originate from or are exported from India.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the hearing session was organized following the announcement of the investigation's initiation last July. It is a critical stage under the Saudi Trade Remedies Law in International Trade, which ensures that all participating parties have the opportunity to present their views and arguments. The session also allows for the review of submissions and opinions from other parties, facilitating a discussion on differing perspectives before the investigating body.
This marks the fifth investigation since the implementation of the Trade Remedies Law in International Trade. The law is designed to protect the local industry from the potential harm caused by dumped or subsidized imports. It also aims to prevent import surges and safeguard the Kingdom's exports that might be subject to trade remedy measures.
