Abdul Mahdi: Iraq Exports One Million Barrels Of Oil A Day To China / More

BAGHDAD, Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi said Iraq exports one million barrels of oil a day to China and it is a key partner for Iraq.

"China is an important country, second in the economic field and a developed country, and has great potential in all fields, and this brought us to China " Mahdi told a number of media.

He explained we signed eight important agreements and contracts with China during our visit to China.

He pointed out that Iraq is balanced in its dealings in all areas, including economic, which is open to all countries and we are eager to balance.

Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi said he would not reverse the decision to transfer the Lt. Gen Abdul Wahab al-Saadi to the Ministry of Defense.

He said that the decision to transfer Lieutenant General Abdul Wahab al-Saadi to the Ministry of Defense was deliberated and after a request from the head of the counter-terrorism agency.

He explained we do not allow to politicize the army and as we prevented politicization of the Popular Mobilization, and we do not allow any relationship between army officers and foreign embassies, nor do we allow the army leaders to give their views on social networking sites.

He stressed that the constitution set the level of sovereign positions received by dual nationals and it is our duty to restore the prestige of the state and the application of law and legislation.

Regarding the relations with Saudi Arabia, Al-Mahdi said that the visit was positive and we stressed the need for calm in the region and we are exerting efforts to solve the problems between Saudi Arabia, Iran, the United States and the Yemen crisis, and we found a great response from Saudi Arabia

"We have taken a decision to stay away from condemnations so that we are not part of one axis against another and we are working to find solutions to the problems by engaging in dialogues with the conflicting parties," he said.

Abdul-Mahdi pointed to two movements, the first one is to move all positive in the state and the other is to be away from all that is bad inside or coming from abroad.

He also pointed to the rounds of oil licenses that have promoted oil production, saying today we are looking for new partners such as China to support and increase oil production.
