KAICIID holds International Meeting on the Role of Religion, Media and Policy in Countering Hatred Speech
Vienna, Vienna-based King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID) concluded here today a two-day meeting which attracted some 200 religious and media dignitaries from around the world to exchange views on issues of social networks and policy making in international and governmental organizations.
In a key speech, Secretary General of KAICIID Faisal bin Abdulrahman bin Muaammar, welcomed former Austrian President Dr. Heinz Fischer, an international figure, a messenger of peace and a keynote speaker.
Bin Muaammar also welcomed Prince Abdullah bin Khalid bin Sultan, the Saudi Ambassador to Austria, who is also his country's permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna.
He stressed the determination of the Global Dialogue Center to continue its supportive efforts to provide and strengthen practical programs in collaboration with individuals, leaders and religious institutions to enhance co-existence and peace building with the aim of combating the language of hatred in religious or political exchanges.
