Gusty Winds and Blowing Dust Expected in Makkah and Madinah Regions

Jeddah: Gusty winds and blowing dust are expected to continue in parts of Makkah and Madinah regions, with horizontal visibility possibly dropping to near zero, especially in coastal areas. Thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds remain possible in parts of the highlands of Jazan, Aseer, and Al-Baha regions, extending to the southern highlands of Makkah Region.

According to Saudi Press Agency, winds over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to northerly in the northern and central parts, and northwesterly to westerly in the southern part, at speeds of 20-40 km/h, reaching 50 km/h in the central and southern parts. Waves may range from one to two meters, reaching two and a half meters in the central and southern parts; the sea will be moderate to rough.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds will be southeasterly to southwesterly in the northern part, and northwesterly to northerly in the central and southern parts, at speeds of 10-30 km/h. Waves may range from half a meter to one meter; the sea will be slight.
