Makkah: The 26th Scientific Forum for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit Research, hosted by Umm Al-Qura University in collaboration with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research, launched today. The event is focused on unveiling scientific and technological solutions in areas such as crowd management, data governance, artificial intelligence, and innovation.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the forum's initial sessions delved into topics including crowd-flow simulation, the application of AI and reinforcement learning to enhance operational efficiency, and data governance models designed to bolster climate-risk preparedness. These sessions also touched on intelligent visual guidance systems for pilgrims.

Further discussions at the forum examined themes such as institutional integration, AI agent governance, and the incorporation of community partnerships and volunteer initiatives into crisis and service management strategies. Participants engaged in reviews of digital twin technologies, adaptive urban planning, and the use of drones for medical delivery within health and logistics operations.

The sessions highlighted the forum's dedication to connecting scientific research with operational field needs. By harnessing advanced technologies and fostering multi-stakeholder partnerships, the forum aims to improve the quality and safety of services provided to pilgrims.
