Head of the Supreme Media Council in Egypt to / NINA /: We appreciate the celebrations of the Iraqi National Day, and we welcome the measures to facilitate the work of journalists

The Head of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation in Egypt valued the success of the activities of the Iraqi National Press Day celebration in the capital, Baghdad.

Jaber said, in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA), that "the celebrations of the National Iraqi Press Day were an important and successful occasion that we had the honor of attending, especially the festival of activities of the Union's branches in all Iraqi governorates on the land of Al-Zawraa Park in Baghdad, and here we made sure that terrorism did not and would not have lasted long in Iraq because this people is rich in human heritage and civilization, loves life, and is diverse in its cultures and authentic heritage.”

He added, "The speech of the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Moayad Al-Lami, during the official ceremony of the National Day, clearly confirmed that there is no prisoner or arrestee for an opinion issue in Iraq, and the Prime Minister launched a package of measures to help media professionals, and we welcome every step to help journalists and facilitate their work," wishing the journalists Iraqis will make more progress to serve national issues and the process of prosperity and development in Iraq, and the continuation of the developed awareness industry to eliminate the remnants of extremist ideas.

Jabr asserted that "all the journalists' demands are fair and just demands, the first of which was mentioned by Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani about the law of access to information, which is like water and air for journalistic work, and other demands, including pending issues in the Arab world regarding the arrest of some journalists and demands for the necessity of their release.
