Riyadh: Moderate to heavy rain, potentially resulting in flash floods and accompanied by hail, is forecasted for parts of Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah regions. According to Saudi Press Agency, the National Center for Meteorology has issued a weather alert, indicating the possible formation of thunderclouds over Najran, the southern parts of Eastern and Riyadh regions, and the highlands of Madinah.
Gusty, dust-stirring winds are expected to impact parts of these regions, adding to the weather challenges. Winds over the Red Sea are predicted to be northwesterly to westerly at speeds ranging from 20 to 50 km/h, with wave heights between one and two and a half meters, suggesting the sea will vary from relatively calm to choppy conditions.
In contrast, the Arabian Gulf is anticipated to experience easterly to southeasterly winds at speeds of 10 to 28 km/h. Wave heights in this region are expected to range from half a meter to one meter, indicating calm sea conditions.
