Dr. Diana Abdulkarim Al Jahrami, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council (HEC), received Dr. Bradley Cook, President of the American University of Bahrain (AUBH).

The secretary general affirmed the Council's interest in developing the deliverables of education and scientific research in higher education institutions in the Kingdom.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation to develop the educational process, and exchange expertise in academic, scientific, research fields.

The two sides reviewed current opportunities and challenges in light of the artificial intelligence (AI) and digitalization of education, in addition to ways to enhance support for local and international students in Bahrain.

AUBH President briefed her on the development plans for the academic programs offered by the university.

He praised the continuous progress achieved by Bahrain in the educational sector.

Cook presented the secretary general with a copy of his book on educational theories, which offers a historical insight into the contributions of Arab scholars in the field of teaching and learning.
