Riyadh: The International Handball Federation (IHF) has appointed President of the Saudi Arabian Handball Federation, Hassan bin Nasr Hilal, as a member of the Commission for Development. This new formation is chaired by Croatian official Tomislav Grahovac and includes a group of international experts specializing in the development of the sport.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this formation is part of the IHF's efforts to enhance the development of handball on a global level by supporting technical programs, promoting knowledge exchange among federations, and raising competitiveness across different continents.
Hilal's appointment is significant as he is the first Saudi to be named to an IHF commission, showcasing the growing international presence of Saudi Arabia and the confidence in its national talent. This move aligns with the Kingdom's continued commitment to supporting and developing the sports sector.
