His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, received this evening at Al Sakhir Palace – in the presence of HM the King’s Personal Representative HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa– wellwishers from the Northern Governorate on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
They extended their best wishes to HM the King on the Holy month of Ramadan, wishing him health, happiness and long life, and the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people further progress and prosperity under his leadership.
The well-wishers praised ongoing landmark development achievements in the Northern Governorate, attributing progress made to HM the King’s royal directives.
HM the King welcomed the attendees and exchanged with them Ramadan greetings, hailing the role of Northern Governorate in national progress as well as its contributions to development efforts.
HM the King praised the bonds of fraternity between Bahrainis, as well as their cohesion and commitment to human values which are based on respect of all peoples and religions.
The devotion and contributions of Bahrainis to the kingdom's development was hailed by HM the King. He praised Bahrainis’ active role in building the nation, hailing their competence and sincerity which qualified them to assume leading positions, whether locally or in Arab and international organizations.
HM the King wished the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people many happy returns and further security, stability, development, progress and prosperity.
Dr. Mahmoud Ibrahim Rashid Tarada delivered a speech on this occasion on behalf of citizens in the Northern Governorate, wishing HM the King, the Government, the people of Bahrain, the Arab and Islamic nations many happy returns.
He commended the Government’s action plan, spearheaded by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, and Team Bahrain leader.
He congratulated HM the King on the positive growth indicators revealed in the 2022 Bahrain Economic Reports, hailing development projects and Bahrain’s ranking in the international competitiveness reviews.
He highlighted key projects implemented by the Northern Governorate to enhance low-income citizens’ standards of living and address humanitarian cases, citing in particularly the charity programme "Buyoot" (homes).
Dr. Tarada praised HM the King’s vision and approach aimed to consolidate social cohesion, cement national unity and further root the values of national belonging and citizenship. He recalled how HM the King's approach was recognised by His Holiness Pope Francis and His Eminence the Grand Imam Sheikh of Al Azhar, adding that it has been embodied in distinguished global initiatives led by HM. He also commended the directives of the Minister of Interior General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa to further bolster community partnership.
He noted the Northern Governorate’s support to the mass wedding which was organized by Al Hamala Cultural, Charity and Social Society, embodying national unity, belonging to the national and the firm spirit of citizenship.
He reiterated allegiance to HM the King, highlighting the accreditation of A’ali as a health city among other landmark achievements under the comprehensive development efforts led initiated by HM the King.
Northern Governor Ali Abdulhussein Al Hussein then presented HM the King with a commemorative gift, on behalf of citizens in the Northern Governorate.
HM the King praised Dr. Ali Fakhro’s years’ long efforts since the early years of establishment of the State Council in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
"He is my mentor and I learned a lot from him", said HM the King, expressing his optimism in the bright future of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Northern Governor Ali Abdul Hussain Al Asfoor expressed his gratitude for HM the King for receiving citizens in the Northern Governorate and extended his best wishes on the Holy month of Ramadhan.
He commended the approach of HM the King towards consolidating the values of peace and tolerance, and the global initiatives led by HM in this area.
The Governor also praised the development efforts led by HM the King, supported by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He said those efforts have taken Bahrain from a phase of recovery to a phase of unprecedented growth, in light of the economic indicators announced lately.
