HRH Crown Prince Chairs Cabinet Session with Focus on Regional and Global Affairs

Jeddah: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the Cabinet session in Jeddah on Tuesday. At the outset of the session, HRH the Crown Prince briefed the Cabinet on the outcomes of his recent meeting with Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which discussed ways to further develop historic and close relations between the two countries across various sectors. The discussion also covered key issues in the Arab and Islamic worlds, developments in the Middle East, and efforts to address matters related to the region's security and stability.

According to Saudi Press Agency, HRH the Crown Prince also informed the Cabinet of a message received from President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. In a statement following the session, Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary said the Cabinet discussed the overall regional and global situation, reiterating Saudi Arabia's stances and its support for efforts to achieve security, peace, and development both regionally and globally.

The Cabinet reviewed developments in joint committees between Saudi Arabia and several nations, discussing progress in coordination and cooperative initiatives, further strengthening bilateral and multilateral relations. Domestically, the Cabinet expressed appreciation for public engagement with national initiatives promoting solidarity and charitable work, enhancing their humanitarian and developmental impacts across Saudi regions.

The Cabinet addressed other items on its agenda and issued several decisions, including authorizing the chairman of the board of directors of King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives to sign a draft memorandum of cooperation with the Kyrgyz Ministry of Digital Development. It also authorized the minister of interior to sign a draft memorandum with the Pakistani Ministry of Interior on scientific, training, and research cooperation.

Additionally, the Cabinet approved a memorandum on political consultations between the Saudi and Armenian Ministries of Foreign Affairs and authorized the minister of environment, water, and agriculture to sign a draft memorandum with Turkmenistan on environmental protection. Other decisions included authorizing health cooperation memoranda with Pakistan and the Netherlands, approving a memorandum with Estonia on direct investment, agreements in air transport services with Kiribati and Cuba, and cooperation in endowments with Oman. Lastly, the Cabinet approved a guiding model for cooperation in space exploration and peaceful uses between the Saudi Space Agency and its counterparts globally.
