Riyadh: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, led the Cabinet session on Tuesday in Riyadh. The session began with HRH the Crown Prince briefing the Cabinet on the outcomes of his recent visit to the United States, which included discussions with President Donald Trump. The discussions highlighted the robust historical friendship and strategic partnership between the two nations, addressing the enhancement of bilateral cooperation for mutual interests and covering significant regional and international developments.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Cabinet appreciated the Saudi-US summit, which underscored the commitment to bolstering relations across various fields. Key agreements signed during the visit included the U.S.-Saudi Strategic Defense Agreement, the Strategic Artificial Intelligence Partnership, and the Joint Declaration on Civil Nuclear Energy Cooperation. Additional agreements focused on securing supply chains for uranium, metals, and critical minerals, alongside facilitating Saudi investments and economic partnerships, amounting to approximately $270 billion.
These agreements are poised to strengthen the strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia and the U.S., enhancing economic, energy, technology, education, military, and security collaboration. The partnerships are expected to promote job opportunities, facilitate technology localization, and contribute to GDP growth within the Kingdom, while also bolstering Saudi economic growth and supporting small and medium enterprises.
During a press briefing, Minister of State Essam bin Saeed highlighted discussions aimed at achieving peace, security, and stability in the region. HRH the Crown Prince expressed gratitude to President Trump for efforts to halt the Gaza conflict and emphasized a genuine path to a two-state solution for Palestinians. The Cabinet commended President Trump’s response to ending the war in Sudan, preserving its unity, and alleviating humanitarian suffering.
The Cabinet reviewed outcomes from the G20 Leaders’ Summit in South Africa, reiterating support for World Trade Organization reform and a transparent multilateral trading system. Recent international events hosted by Saudi Arabia were discussed, including the successful Cityscape Global 2025 and the upcoming Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit (GMIS) in Riyadh.
The Cabinet praised the proceedings of various international forums held in Riyadh and noted the election of the Saudi Central Bank Governor to the Board of Directors of the Bank for International Settlements. It also reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to a justice-focused judicial system and appreciated the outcomes of the Second International Judicial Conference.
In addition, the Cabinet commended Saudi efforts in sustainable industrial development and international cooperation, welcoming recommendations from the 6th Conference of the Arab Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education.
The Cabinet reviewed its agenda, including items coordinated with the Shura Council and recommendations from various councils. Notable decisions included authorizing discussions and agreements with several countries, covering fields such as energy, environmental protection, human capital development, air transport services, statistics, intellectual property, financial intelligence, auditing, prosecution cooperation, and curriculum development.
