Mina: Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmed Al-Rajhi yesterday visited several ministry-affiliated sites and initiatives in the holy sites in the presence of Assistant Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Shared Services Ismail Al-Ghamdi. The visit was part of the field tours conducted by the ministry during this year's Hajj season.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the minister began the visit by reviewing the services of the 'National Initiative for Hajj of Persons with Disabilities,' implemented through a partnership between the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, Nusuk Foundation, and the Sons of Abdulaziz Al Rajhi Endowment Charity.
The initiative aims to enable persons with disabilities to perform Hajj rituals with ease and peace of mind. This year, the initiative benefited 600 pilgrims and companions, reflecting integration among participating entities in delivering quality services to pilgrims.
The visit also included the headquarters of the Volunteer Operations Center in Mina, where the minister reviewed volunteers' participation in providing services and field support to pilgrims, as well as the role of volunteer initiatives in supporting organizational and humanitarian efforts during the season.
The visit further included a review of fieldwork mechanisms, coordination between volunteer teams and participating entities, and approved operational plans supporting volunteer work in the holy sites.
At the conclusion of the visit, the minister expressed appreciation to participating entities, field teams, and volunteers for efforts in serving pilgrims. He emphasized the importance of integration among all participating entities to enhance the quality of services provided and reflect the wise Saudi leadership's commitment to harnessing all capabilities to serve pilgrims and enable them across all categories to perform rituals with ease and peace of mind.
