Human Resources Ministry: Over 9 Million Contracts Documented via Qiwa Platform

According to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, over nine million contracts have been documented through the Qiwa platform, an important step toward protecting workers' rights and providing a stable work environment that increases employee productivity, ensures that enterprises comply with labor laws and regulations, and reduces the number of labor disputes and cases. The ministry urged all private sector employees, both Saudis and non-Saudis, to ensure that their work contracts are documented through the contract documentation service on the Qiwa platform, to secure their rights and increase the trust between parties at the workplace. The ministry said that enterprises that document 80% or more of their employees' contracts will benefit fully from its services, such as visa issuance, service transfer, and change of profession. The Qiwa platform enables employers to upload and update contract information for private sector employees and employees to verify the accuracy of the data on t heir contracts, approve or reject it, or request modifications through their account on the platform. The contract documentation service is among the e-services provided by the ministry through the Qiwa platform, which serves as the main interface for the labor sector, aiming to organize and monitor all interactions among various parties, including employees and private enterprises, in an automated and instant manner, without the need for paper transactions. It aims to expand the labor market, covers all stages of an enterprise, from establishment to expansion, and supports employees from the beginning of their job until the end of the contractual obligations with all the services and tools that add value to this process.
