Imam Turki Reserve Announces Rabdah as New Sustainable Hunting Destination at S’hail 2026

Riyadh: The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Nature Reserve Development Authority has announced Rabdah as a new sustainable hunting destination within the reserve during its participation in the Katara International Hunting and Falconry Exhibition (S'hail 2026).

According to Saudi Press Agency, the announcement expands the range of tourism and environmental experiences offered to visitors and hunting enthusiasts. It also introduces a model that combines regulated hunting with the conservation of natural resources and the preservation of the heritage associated with traditional falconry hunting expeditions.

The initiative contributes to diversifying destinations and enhancing the quality of the visitor experience. Covering more than 7,100 square kilometers, Rabdah Reserve is bordered by Luqa village to the north, Qaisumah Faihan to the east, the Al-Uwayqilah-Al-Hayaniyah road to the west, and Jabalah village to the south. Its diverse landscape includes plains, sand formations, desert meadows, valleys, and ravines.

The reserve has been divided into two main areas, each of which can be booked separately, or the reserve can be booked in its entirety. This gives visitors greater flexibility to make use of the site's expansive landscape and organize their experience. Accommodation at Rabdah is camping-based, with visitors bringing their own tents and equipment, giving them greater flexibility to arrange their stay and tailor their itinerary to the length of their visit and their interests.

Rabdah offers an experience inspired by the spirit and traditions of traditional falconry hunting, with stays starting at 14 days and additional services available according to visitors' needs and the nature of their experience. The experience combines camping and hospitality with stargazing and astronomy, giving visitors more opportunities to enjoy the landscape and connect with its natural environment and heritage.
