IMCTC Secretary General Receives Commander of GCC Unified Military Command

Acting Secretary General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, received today Lieutenant General Eid bin Awad Al-Shalawi, the Commander of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Unified Military Command, and his accompanying delegation.

Al-Shalawi and the visiting delegation were briefed about the IMCTC's efforts to combat terrorism and radical ideology through intellectual and media initiatives as well as terrorism financing in coordination with the coalition's member states.

He commended the coalition's roles and strategic initiatives that seek to eradicate terrorism and radicalism and dry up terrorism funding streams.

Meanwhile, Al-Moghedi underlined that the coalition works according to a holistic approach that seeks to enhance cooperation and coordination among member states, adding that all works and efforts carried out by the IMCTC are in line with relevant international protocols and laws.
