Riyadh: The inaugural Saudi Water Week, organized by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, kicks off tomorrow in Jeddah. This event will run from June 28 to July 2, serving as a five-day national and international platform aimed at bringing together global decision-makers, researchers, and private sector representatives. The primary focus is to enhance water security, promote sustainable resource management, and drive scientific innovation.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the event will host the Arab Water Forum and the second consultative meeting of the World Water Forum 2027. It will feature over 97 dialogue sessions, panel discussions, and technical workshops. These sessions are designed to showcase the latest global practices and highlight the Kingdom's achievements in water infrastructure, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. The gathering is a significant milestone as Riyadh prepares to host the World Water Forum 2027.

An exhibition accompanying the event will feature leading government agencies and international firms showcasing advanced technologies in desalination, water reuse, and digitalization. Additionally, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture is set to sign several strategic agreements and memoranda of understanding with local and international entities. These partnerships aim to boost investment, share trade expertise, and develop sustainable solutions for global water challenges.
