Saudi arabia: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expressed support for the principles and orientations contained in the India AI Impact Summit Declaration. The declaration aims to harness artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in service of humanity and promote sustainable development worldwide.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Kingdom affirmed that the declaration aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which focus on building a knowledge-based economy driven by innovation, empowering people, and employing advanced technologies to achieve the good of humanity.
President of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and head of the Kingdom’s delegation to the summit Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Alghamdi said the declaration reflects shared international awareness of the need to guide technological transformation toward welfare and prosperity for all. He noted that it strengthens international cooperation in developing AI across key sectors to achieve economic growth and sustainable progress.
Dr. Alghamdi said building safe, reliable, and effective AI systems represents a national priority. He attributed this priority to the aspirations of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Chairman of SDAIA Board of Directors. He added that these efforts aim to consolidate the Kingdom’s position as a leading nation in adopting advanced technologies and deploying them for the benefit of humanity.
He further explained that the declaration’s focus on developing human capital, expanding digital infrastructure, and enhancing system reliability and security aligns with the Kingdom’s approach to building an integrated AI ecosystem. This approach prioritizes investing in people, developing national competencies, and updating regulatory frameworks in line with rapid technological change.
He added that the declaration’s emphasis on using AI to drive economic growth and social good aligns with Saudi Vision 2030. The Kingdom continues to diversify its economy, strengthen global competitiveness, improve performance in government and private sectors, stimulate innovation and entrepreneurship, and advance the digital economy through advanced technologies.
