Jakarta-- Indonesia strongly condemned statements issued by the spokesperson for the Indian Bharatiya Janata Party who insulted Islam and Prophet Mohammed, peace and blessings be upon him.

In a statement, the foreign ministry of the Republic of Indonesia called for rejection of all practices and behaviors that call for violence and hatred. This message was delivered to Indian ambassador to Indonesia, said the statement.
