Industry Minister Holds Talks to Boost Industrial, Mining Cooperation with Friendly Nations


Riyadh: Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef held a series of bilateral meetings with counterparts from several brotherly and friendly countries to explore ways to strengthen cooperation in the industrial and mining sectors. The meetings took place on the sidelines of the 21st General Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Riyadh.



According to Saudi Press Agency, Alkhorayef met with Palestinian Minister of Industry Arafat Asfour, Iraq’s Minister of Industry and Minerals Khaled Battal Al-Najm, Morocco’s Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour, Algerian Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines Mohamed Arkab, Tajik Minister of Industry and New Technologies Sherali Kabir, and Kazakh Minister of Industry and Construction Yersayin Nagaspayev.



The meetings discussed strengthening strategic economic relations between Saudi Arabia and these countries, supporting industrial integration with Arab states, and developing cooperation in the industrial and mining sectors. The talks also focused on exploring and identifying shared investment opportunities in promising areas, including manufacturing, industrial city development, industrial supply chain enhancement, advanced manufacturing applications, mineral extraction and processing, and geological survey programs.
