Istanbul: Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef held a meeting with Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Trkiye Alparslan Bayraktar on the sidelines of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Critical Minerals Forum in Istanbul, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in the mining sector.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the two sides discussed mutual investment opportunities in mining and ways to strengthen cooperation in related infrastructure and technologies. During the meeting, Alkhorayef extended an invitation to Bayraktar to participate in the sixth edition of the Future Minerals Forum, which will be hosted in Riyadh in early 2027.

The OECD Critical Minerals Forum serves as a platform that unites leaders from governments, industry, and international organizations to address challenges and opportunities concerning critical minerals supply chains.
