Riyadh: The Farasan Islands The Farasan Islands are hosting Environment Week 2026 activities under the theme 'Your Impact Is Green,' organized by Jazan Region branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, represented by the Fisheries Unit in the governorate, in a scene reflecting integrated efforts among government, service, and volunteer entities to enhance environmental protection and develop natural resources through a range of initiatives and awareness programs targeting various segments of society.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Ghadeer Marina today hosted one of the environmental initiatives, a seabed clean-up campaign carried out by specialized diving teams, which resulted in the removal of quantities of marine waste, in a step aimed at preserving the safety of the marine ecosystem and raising awareness of its importance.

Participants stressed the importance of sustaining such awareness efforts and environmental initiatives as a key pillar in strengthening community awareness and preserving the natural assets that distinguish the Farasan Islands, thereby supporting the sustainability of their resources for future generations.
