Interior Ministry Enforces Strict Measures Against Hajj Rule Violators

Makkah: The Ministry of Interior announced that Hajj security forces at the entrances to Makkah apprehended four expatriates and three Saudi citizens for violating Hajj regulations by transporting 13 pilgrims without permits.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry issued administrative decisions through the seasonal administrative committees, including fines of up to SAR100,000 against the transporters and anyone involved in the violation, imprisonment, and public naming.

The decisions also included fines of up to SAR20,000 against those transported for attempting to perform Hajj without a permit, deportation of expatriates, and a 10-year ban on re-entering the Kingdom following the completion of their sentences.

In addition, judicial requests were submitted for the confiscation of vehicles used to transport the violators.

The ministry called on all citizens and residents to adhere to and comply with the Hajj regulations and instructions.
