International Chamber of Commerce-SA delegation visits Paris to explore prospects of joint economic and trade cooperation

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Chamber of Commerce – Saudi Arabia (ICC-SA), the Kingdom’s representative to the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Counselor Saif bin Abdullah Al-Turki and the accompanying delegation, has discussed with the Secretary-General of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in France, John Milton, means of cooperation between the two sides and ways of creating mutual opportunities and organizing joint events, as part of one of the executive initiatives of the Chamber’s strategic plan to visit the G20 countries to build partnerships and strategic cooperation between member states in line with the Kingdom’s vision 2030 and the support provided by the Ministry of Commerce and in cooperation with the Federation of Saudi Chambers, the General Authority of Foreign Trade (GAFT) and the Saudi Center for International Strategic Partnerships (SCISP).

Al-Turki said the ICC-SA delegation, which embarked on a three-day visit to France early last week, also met with the President of the Franco-Arab Chamber of Commerce, Vincent Reina, during which they discussed areas of cooperation between the two sides, working to organize international trade fairs and ways to develop trade exchange and economic cooperation. In addition, the delegation had a meeting with officials of the Paris Chamber of Commerce, where they discussed cooperation, organizing joint international initiatives, and providing support to Saudi and French companies.

He added that the delegation also visited the Innovation Center in Paris to discuss prospects for cooperation between the two sides and to transfer pioneering practices and policies related to innovation to transfer their experience into the Kingdom. The delegation concluded its visit by a meeting with the Kingdom’s Ambassador to France Fahad Al-Ruwaili and discussed with him joint cooperation and support to the Saudi citizens in France including advising commercial delegations and Saudi companies wishing to start partnerships or cooperate with French parties.

Al-Turki described the visit as very successful as it achieved its objectives to enhance cooperation, build strategic partnerships, and exchange experiences and benefits between ICC-SA and the relevant authorities in Paris, citing the two countries’ economic importance internationally as members of the G20.
