International Community Hails ICAIRE’s Role in Establishing Global AI Capacity-Building Network

Geneva: Member states of the Global Network of Centers for Exchange and Cooperation on AI Capacity Building praised the establishment of the network in a joint declaration delivered by Senegal during the Global Dialogue on AI Governance in Geneva, which concluded today with broad international participation.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the network was established through efforts led by the International Center for AI Research and Ethics (ICAIRE), under the auspices of UNESCO in Riyadh, the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA), and the Republic of Kenya. It has evolved into a global platform for capacity building, knowledge sharing, and support for national AI strategies.

ICAIRE's Dr. Majid Al-Shehri stated that the center's participation in the Geneva dialogue expanded opportunities for cooperation and facilitated knowledge exchange, supporting national AI capabilities and best practices globally.

ICAIRE, established as a Category 2 Center under UNESCO in Riyadh, promotes AI ethics, builds capacities, and supports international cooperation through strategic partnerships and knowledge exchange to harness AI for sustainable development.
