This meeting will be chaired by Executive Director Princess Sarah bint Bandar bin Abdulaziz and will include participation from national coordinators representing 17 member states along with the heads of the council's specialized committees.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting's primary focus will be on discussing proposed revisions to the international dates standard DDP-08. This will include reviewing feedback from the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) regarding agricultural quality standards.

These discussions will pave the way for submitting final views to the UNECE after the UN session in Geneva scheduled from May 13 to 15, 2026.
