Jeddah: The General Secretariat of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy expressed its strong condemnation of the attacks carried out by Iran against the states of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which resulted in the shedding of innocent blood, the intimidation of civilians, the destruction of infrastructure, and damage to protected property.
According to Saudi Press Agency, in a statement, it affirmed that these attacks contradict the tolerant values and higher objectives of Islam and are inconsistent with the principles of good neighborliness, Islamic brotherhood, and the charter of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
The general secretariat also called on Iran to stop these attacks, resort to wisdom and self-restraint, respect good neighborly relations, and adhere to the principles of Islamic brotherhood and the organization's charter.
It renewed its denunciation of the brutal and barbaric attacks committed by the Israeli occupying entity, as well as the closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the prevention of prayer there unjustly and aggressively, noting that this contradicts international laws, norms, and resolutions of the United Nations Security Council. It called on countries worldwide and the international community to work toward an immediate and permanent cessation of these attacks.
