Iran And Saudi Arabia Agree To Resume Flights And Facilitate The Granting Of Visas

Saudi Arabia and Iran agreed to resume flights and facilitate the issuance of visas.

A joint Iranian-Saudi statement stated: "Today, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Abdullahian met with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, in China, to agree to restore relations between the two countries."

The statement added, "It was agreed to enhance cooperation to achieve security and stability in the region, in addition to starting arrangements for reopening the two embassies."

It continued, "It was also agreed to resume flights and facilitate the granting of visas to citizens, in addition to resuming mutual visits by officials and representatives of the private sector."

The joint statement emphasized "activating the security cooperation agreement between the two countries signed in 2001".
