Islamic Affairs Minister Approves King Abdulaziz International Quran Competition Winners

Riyadh: Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance and General Supervisor of Local and International Competitions Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh approved the names of male and female winners of the 46th edition of the King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting, and Interpreting the Holy Quran. The competition, which aims to promote the understanding and appreciation of the Quran, concluded with the announcement of its distinguished participants.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the competition was organized by the ministry with the participation of 334 male and female contestants representing 133 countries. This year's event highlighted the extensive global interest and dedication towards the memorization and interpretation of the Quran, drawing participants from different corners of the world to compete and showcase their skills.

The total prize money for the competition amounted to over SAR10 million, emphasizing the importance and prestige of this international event. The substantial prize aims to encourage and support the continued study and interpretation of the Quran among the global Muslim community.
