Islamic Affairs Ministry Announces Readiness of Mosques in Holy Sites for Hajj Season

Mecca: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance announced the readiness of mosques in the central area and holy sites to receive pilgrims from today until the end of the 1447 AH Hajj season.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the readiness works included preparing the main holy sites mosques-Namira Mosque, Masjid al-Mashar al-Haram, Al-Khayf Mosque, and Hujjaj al-Birr Mosque-through maintenance, cleaning, and preparing air conditioning, audio, lighting, and safety systems.

The ministry distributed more than 1.4 million awareness materials in 27 languages, provided approximately 1,917,700 copies of the Holy Quran and translations in more than 80 languages, and sent more than 120 million awareness text messages to pilgrims' phones.

On the digital front, the ministry provided free Wi-Fi at pilgrims' locations, activated video fatwa devices at miqat mosques and holy sites, and deployed interactive screens and the Rushd app to provide multilingual guidance and awareness services.
