Islamic Affairs Ministry Hosts Iftar in Nairobi’s Jamia Mosque

Nairobi: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the religious attach© at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Kenya, organized an iftar banquet on Saturday at the courtyard of the Jamia Mosque in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the mosque accommodates about 10,000 worshippers. The initiative is part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' iftar program, which the ministry is implementing in Kenya during Ramadan 1447 AH, targeting nearly 20,000 beneficiaries.

The event highlighted the spirit of Islamic brotherhood and underscored the Kingdom's commitment to supporting and standing in solidarity with Muslims worldwide.

Around 2,000 fasting individuals from various segments of society benefited from the iftar in a spiritual atmosphere marked by compassion and unity, highlighting the program's role in promoting Islamic solidarity annually across several countries.

Beneficiaries expressed their appreciation to the Saudi leadership for its continued support and care for Muslims worldwide, praising the ministry for implementing a program that reinforces the values of brotherhood and mutual support during the blessed month of Ramadan.
