Islamic Development Bank and ALECSO sign an agreement to develop a common reference framework for Arabic language

The Islamic Development Bank and the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science (ALECSO) have signed a technical assistance grant agreement on “Developing a Common Reference Framework for the Arabic Language: Teaching, Learning and Assessment”, in the presence of the Bank’s President Dr. Mohamed Suleiman Al-Jasser, and ALECSO's Director General Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar.

According to the agreement the Islamic Development Bank will contribute $288,000 to the project, provided that ALECSO be the executing body of the project.

The main objective of the project is to promote the use of the Arabic language as a language and a means of development and scientific research.
