Riyadh: Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 index dropped 0.3% today to close at 66,016.36 points, recording its worst weekly performance in over a month with a nearly 4% drop.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the broader TOPIX index gained 0.2% during the session but fell 3.1% over the week, marking its sharpest weekly contraction since early March.
