Jeddah Municipality Conducts Over 1,039 Inspections on Eid Al-Adha’s First Day

Jeddah: Jeddah Municipality carried out more than 1,039 inspection and field visits and tours on the first day of Eid Al-Adha as part of its operational plan for the 1447 AH Hajj season. The efforts aim to enhance compliance with health and regulatory requirements, maintain public health, and curb random practices related to the slaughtering and sale of udhiyah animals.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the fieldwork included visits and tours to monitor udhiyah sale sites, facilities related to health and food activities, markets, kitchens, and butcher shops. The efforts were carried out with the participation of sub-municipalities, supporting departments, and inspection teams.

Inspection efforts also included intensified checks at the governorate's entrances and seasonal sorting points with the participation of security authorities and government sectors. The teams monitored meat-transport vehicles, verified transport and storage safety, and ensured compliance with health requirements. More than 480 vehicles were inspected.
