Jeddah: Tickets are now on sale for the Jeddah E-Prix, which will kick off the 2026-2027 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship season at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit on December 18 and 19, marking the first time Jeddah hosts the championship's opening rounds.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the event will feature the GEN4 car's global competitive debut, which is the most powerful in the championship's history. The car boasts an output of up to 600 kW and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 1.8 seconds. This season also introduces a new race format titled "E-Prix Unleashed," alongside traditional E-Prix races.
The 3.001 km Jeddah Corniche Circuit, featuring 19 turns, will host the first two rounds of the new season as night races under floodlights. The event will include a fan zone with interactive and family programs, along with post-race performances.
Eng. Mansour Almokbel, Acting CEO of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, stated that hosting the opening rounds reflects the Kingdom's growing role in shaping the future of motorsport and hosting world championships.
