Jordanian King meets US delegation

King Abdulla II ibn Al-Hussein has today received United States Undersecretary of Defense for Policy, John C. Rood, and Commander of United States Central Command, General Joseph Votel.

The Jordanian News Agency (Petra) said that the meeting focused mainly on issues related to bilateral relations and latest developments in the region.

The two sides discussed improving cooperation between the two countries, specifically in military and defense fields, in addition to reviewing regional and international efforts in the war on terror, within a comprehensive approach.

They also highlighted the ongoing crises in the Middle East as well as efforts to come up with political solutions that restore regional stability and security.

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi also held a meeting with United States Undersecretary of Defense for Policy, John C. Rood cooperation and regional developments.

They stressed continuous cooperation and coordination regarding efforts to achieve regional security and stability.
