Cairo: Minister of Justice Walid Al-Samaani chaired the 76th meeting of the Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers, held today at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo. In his opening remarks, Al-Samaani emphasized the importance of continuing to enhance judicial and legal cooperation among Arab countries and following up on the implementation of the council's decisions to support the effectiveness of its work and strengthen Arab judicial integration.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting discussed progress in implementing resolutions adopted during the 41st session of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers. Participants reviewed steps taken to activate the Arab Convention for the Suppression of Terrorism and mechanisms for its implementation.
The executive bureau further examined several Arab draft laws, initiatives, and proposals submitted by member states to enhance judicial and legal cooperation, in addition to other agenda items. On the sidelines of the meeting, Al-Samaani met with Sudanese Minister of Justice Dr. Abdullah Darf to discuss a number of issues of mutual interest.
