Kanno: Saudi Arabia Aims to Make History Again at FIFA World Cup 2026

Kanno: Saudi midfielder Mohamed Kanno said the Green Falcons enter the FIFA World Cup 2026 with high ambitions and a determination to achieve a new milestone that reflects the progress of Saudi football and brings pride to the nation.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Kanno stated in an interview with FIFA that his level has improved significantly since the World Cup 2022. He credited the development of the Saudi Pro League and the arrival of world-class international players, whose presence has raised standards and intensified competition.

Reflecting on Saudi Arabia's historic victory over Argentina at Qatar 2022, Kanno described it as one of the greatest moments of his career and a memorable occasion for the entire nation.

Kanno acknowledged the challenge of facing Spain, Uruguay, and Cape Verde in Group H, stressing that every match would be difficult. The 74-cap international said Saudi Arabia's goal is to advance beyond the group stage and make history once again, inspiring future generations as the 1994 team did.
