Riyadh: The King Fahd Sports City Redevelopment Project in Riyadh continues the rehabilitation and modernization of one of the Kingdom's most prominent sports venues through a comprehensive program aligned with international standards for sports facility design and operation, with strong emphasis on environmental sustainability and resource efficiency, in support of Saudi Vision 2030. According to Saudi Press Agency, the project adopts an integrated sustainability framework across the design, construction, and operational phases, including expanded use of renewable energy, improved water-use efficiency, the use of low-environmental-impact materials, and site enhancements that contribute to improving the surrounding environment and the quality of outdoor spaces. The project reflects the Ministry of Sport's commitment to adopting a modern model for sports facilities that combines operational efficiency with environmental sustainability, helping enhance sports infrastructure, optimize resource utilization, and support sustainable development aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, while preparing the Kingdom to host major sporting events and competitions in the future.
